Heading to Spearfish with the family in mid/late June ... would like to find a knowledgeable "local" to show off the Sunshine Wall area. We'll be staying in a place just north of Cheyenne Crossing, close to the area as far as I can tell! A few of us enjoy getting out on the rocks....We're safe & somewhat solid, just flatlanders with adequate racks but small sacks.... Will provide brews & snacks.....and the place we're staying has a hot tub on the deck....

there is a spearfish canyon guidebook available. im not too familiar with the area, iv only been there once. the routes are pretty steep in the grades. 5.10-12's and above. not too many moderates, but they are out there. check the route info on this site, or check mountainproject.com, they have great route info, or just google the guidbook and order it. its you're best bet. that way if you dont find a local, you will have an idea. good luck
