yeah most of it sucks for climbing! and then you can only feed the appetite so much with the southern climbs! im an altitude guy! the taller and more exposed and the more pitches the better!

Drapers bluff is really the only multipitch i know off. in Il. It has been privately owned for quite a few years. When I was still climbing alot you could contact Eric Ulner And still get in. I do not know if that still holds true.

i hit the gym there bout 2-3 times a year. yeah nothing like the real rock. my passion is getting out of state and doing summitable climbs. devils tower, black hills climbs, colorado was alot a fun, even the gorge has alot of multi-pitch climbs. but hey what we have in illinois is all we got so cherish it! could be like indiana or michigan! yeah drapers was best place to climb down in so ill. sadest day ever when it closed to public! i dream of a day that it gets reopened!

the way the law is now stated, eric is no longer protected from lawsuits by people getting injured on his property. you can read his letter to the public at the above link.
