I have now been rock climbing for about five years, ice climbing 4 years and mountaineering all my life. I try to get to the gym at lest 3 time a week during the winter and in the summer I climb almost every weekend some where. Even though I am from Iowa it does not keep me from getting to big climbs in the west. Some of my favorite climbs have been... Prow on Kit Carson Peak 5.8, Yellow Spur in Eldorado Canyon 5.10a, Durance and Assembly Line on Devils Tower 5.7 and 5.9-, North Ridge of Spear Head in Estas and many more.
As a side note I love it when I tell people I am from Iowa because most of them are like what the hell are you doing here.
