OK, this isn't so much about Sheen's meltdown, but rather how 2.5 Men is "the most popular and highly rated show on television."
I've never heard anyone say "Oh my God, did you see 2.5 men last night?!" This is something you'd hear about The Office, no doubt, but I've never ever heard anyone talk about the show.
Honestly, if someone asked me if they were still making new episodes I wouldn't have even known the answer.

Never seen it and I don't know why I just read the article you linked. A 5th grader could've written a better story.

I've never followed a season, but I have watched the reruns a lot with my grandmother (the ones that come on after the 6pm news), so I couldn't decide on an option in your poll.
I admit that I liked the earlier seasons. It was clever and there were a good mix of stories coming from the three main characters (as well as good stuff from the mom, house cleaner, and neighbor, too). The later seasons, however, we just a redux of the same old jokes and weren't as good.
i saw about 4 minutes of one episode once. i think they were making boner jokes with a little boy. I honeslty found it kind of disturbing. Charlie Sheen's meltdown has been highly entertaingin, though.
I kinda like 48/16 men. I guess a lot of the jokes might get lost in translation (thanks german TV, for dubbing everything - mostly badly), but i think its still funny.
Of course its absolutely childish, but, Oh well ...
Also Charly Sheen, playing himself just in a more harmless version, to earn a shitload of money that he uses to be himself hardcore...
2-1/2 Men is right up there with Everybody Loves Raymond; fucking awful but millions of people I have never met watched it.
Charlie Sheen is a train wreck and everybody loves a train wreck. How long until Dr. Drew steps in?
Oh don't even get me started on Dr. Drew. My wife (and by association ME!) watches that show of his. Dear god.
Can you give us some tips on how to not 'get you started' on conversations? Because it seems like you're kind of a self-starter when it comes to commenting on anything and everything.

Well I learned from you so . . .
Besides you have something like 6x the number of posts than I do so I think you're more of a self-starter than I.

I've watched many episodes and will even admit to enjoying a few, but it's not that great a show at all. The writing isn't that good, most of the jokes are repetitive and predictable, and no one on the show is all that great an actor. Some of the latest episodes have been ok- verging on-good. Not really sure if it's a shame they cancelled it.
30 Rock on the other hand is a great show, or it was 6 months ago when I still watched tv. Scrubs used to be awesome until the JD guy left, now it's just not funny (and the cinematography looks odd).
