Why would you want to go into a deep cave when its raining more? I would have expected that you - mr. safety himself - would know that caves can become deathtraps in rain! Guess what - caves have been formed by water! More rain - more drainage, bigger rivers, bigger cave rivers, or even reactivation of some old cave rivers! qwert

Papua New Guinea is where it is at for caves. The last frontier. Huge Karst plateaus with monsoonal rain conditions for raging white water underground rivers.
