Any musicians out there know where a gumby writer like me can have a song shopped?
Long story short, I wrote a song about six years ago and a good friend of mine is finally getting around to performing it (it goes live tonight for the first time). Anyway, he's not a professional musician but he's a pretty active amateur playing at several open mics across Boston during the week.
We were thinking about shopping it and wondered where to turn to. ASCAP seemed to be the best place to start, but I really don't know where to look.
