A guide to the RC.com personalities
Can't Post

Since I have nothing to do, I figure I'd compile a quick overview of some of the most notable figures on the RC.com forums. Keep in mind that this comes purely from my observations and interactions with them.

In no particular order:

jt512: You are almost guaranteed to have an encounter with Jay. He frequently comes off sounding like a douche, but the more you hang around the forums, the more you realize that he's probably right about most things, and his cynicism is merely a response to the rampant idiocy sometimes found on the forums. He knows his shit, especially about nutritional things.

ceebo: Somehow managed to wheel away from his Para and access a computer.

NotApplicable: I dunno what he's all about, as I can't ever get past looking at whatever the hell is going on to that forearm in his picture. Ew.

Sungam, Spikeddem, Shockabuku: I can't really differentiate between the three. They all seem to have a good sense of humor, and generally seem competent about climbing stuff. Probably pretty trustworthy dudes who would be fun to climb with.

Cracklover: Loves crack. Seems similar to the aforementioned three guys, good sense of humor and probably pretty knowledgeable. The main difference is that he ends every post with "GO."

rgold: When he talks, everyone listens. For good reason too: The guy has clearly been around the block, and is one of the most trusted and knowledgeable figures on the RC.com forums. He only speaks up when he needs to.

Rob.calm: Seems to also be another rgold type. Doesn't post much, but usually has solid advice when he does.

Curt: Crusty ol' bugger. A self proclaimed "washed up 53 year old," which isn't actually that old, I guess. Speaks in a very matter-of-fact manner, and frequently has facts and figures to back up his statements. Another trustworthy source.

csproul, Healyje, rtwilli: All seem pretty knowledgeable. They definitely seem more interested in climbing than in bantering about it on the internet, which is commendable.

J_ung and angry: I can't get a fix on these two. They are fairly regular contributors to forums though. angry has never seemed as angry to me as his name might suggest.

Epoch: Has a lot of posts, is a moderator, and never learned how to spell "you're."

carabiner96: Knows exactly how Jay likes his balls jiggled.

Enigma: Loves attention. She will make lots of forum topics, probably because she just likes getting the e-mails telling her that someone has responded to her posts (and who can blame her for that?) Generally asks pretty harmless, but pointless questions in her posts, but nothing to get upset about.

Majid: RC's resident safety "expert." Spends more time copy & pasting articles in the accident reports section than anything. Notorious for being a dick on the forums after someone dies in an accident.

Jacques: Clearly an ESL kinda guy. Shouldn't they teach English better than this in Canada?

flesh: A genuinely enthusiastic guy, who wanted to share his training ideas. Too bad he got shot down, he seemed to really be interested in helping people improve as climbers, regardless of how good his advice was.

bearbreeder: You'll know it's bearbreeder by the Wink, Sly, and Laugh that he loves to put in just about every sentence. Also loves to say things like "find some dirty old climbing man to fondle your young, virgin body." Creepy. Probably is Majid.

Various noobs: Make an account, ask a question, get hammered by many of the above people, and either fade into the background, or respond angrily that they will "SHOW YOU ALL BY POSTING ABOUT MY AWESOME CLIMBS, NO THANKS TO YOU JERKS." Caps lock reigns supreme with the defensive ones.

Redonkulus: Lives in Kansas, and thus has an inordinate amount of time available to read forums on RC.com and come up with stupid shit like this, instead of actually getting to climb.

Well, that's all I've got. Sorry if you feel left out if I didn't mention you. Feel free to add to the list or offer up corrections if you want, though it might be lame to correct me about yourself, since this is just my opinion of how you present yourself online.

Edit: to add Epoch, carabiner96, ceebo, subtract reno and add rtwilli and Notapplicable.

Yor list is quite incomplete. It's obvious that you've not lurked as long as you'd like to claim that you have.

When you truly finish yor observations then recompile the data and finish yor list.

I didn't claim to have lurked at all. Also note the "some of the most notable figures on the RC.com forums" part. Be more memorable and you'd be on the list. I've barely seen any posts of yours, (or carabiner96) in the past couple months I've been on here. Therefore, i omitted you. Try not to be too offended. It took like an hour to make that list anyway. Thats almost a sixth of the time it would take for me to drive to the nearest crag from here. If I spent any more time on the list, I might as well just go climbing...

I just hope you out lots of lotion on your hands, maybe warmed them up a little, before you cupped all of those balls. Soft jiggles is what J likes, I hear.

You got it. Call him with a douche, to arouse his passion, then complement him, so that the anger is forgotten and then he will love me. Smile

Not only is it incomplete, it's inaccurate.

Sungam, for example, is not as lovable as he is made out to be, but is rather a minger and should be shot in the face on sight.

Sungam will know what a minger is, and that is the important thing. Devil

Oh and four simple words can sum up all that needs to be known about interacting with me on this site...

I bet jay never has to buy toilet roll. On you're knees people, its a wet one.

It is interesting to me that rolling over in effort of passively gaining acceptance their for avoiding social humiliation still runs rampant in people beyond childhood, especially considering a climbing forum is even more irrelevant than Tommy being put in goal first under the false pretence of gaining respect. Even more interesting is that the long sung song of sticks and stones is somehow no longer mature enough in comparison.. even though in such a place as the interweb it is more relevant than it ever was back then. 3 kids jumping up and down on Tommy for letting one in also brakes bones. where as.. maintaining the opinion jay is a worthless piss poor excuse of a human being does not. Are you Tommy? i think so.

Enjoy your lunch.

The man is correct, Ceebo. Nobody has a clue what you're trying to say. Seriously. Like, it's not even close to being interpretable. It's probably end up making more sense if we copy and pasted it into Google Language Converter, converted it through three or four language filters, and then converted it back to English. Like, seriously.

I'm beginning to wonder if what you're trying to say is actually really brilliant, but we just can't interpret it correctly.

Sorry if any of this is harsh, but I'm sick of trying to understand your posts without any help from you.

Edit: I just realized that I was mentally combining you and bearbreeder into one person. Maybe even someone else. Probably.
