Hey guys, I was recently thinking about getting a tattoo. I would like it to be a silhouette on an overhang. Maybe with the arms spread a little bit and in a lock off position. Regardless, I feel like it might look funny having the boulder on there. When I google search bouldering silhouettes, they look good, but that's because it's a framed. Would it be better to include the whole boulder? Or just arbitrarily include one corner. Does anyone else have tattoo's similar to this?

My advice (as someone who has a lot of tattoos, both good and bad) would be to take a basic idea that you want to the best artist you can find. The worst tattoos I have are where I wanted something done exactly as a drawing or picture I brought in. The best are ones that a great artist put his talent and take into it. There's a million shops around these days, but really only a handful of great artists. Do the research and find someone who's style you like and you'll be much happier. As far as the boulder, I would probably do it in a shades of grey type fade so it blends in and can be added on to later. I'm not a big fan of just black silhouettes (and I have my share of them) but if you are, maybe something like this one:
