Ever notice how people sound as if they're talking to their dogs when motivating fellow climbers?

vs.
Good boy... good, yes, nice, si, sit!.. siiiiiit... good boy.
Some people are worse than others for this... or maybe it's just me that hears this.

I never rember saying, Cmere boy i got the peanut better when i was out bouldering.
But yeah I an kinda see what you are saying.

you know when you are all trying to get a dog to come to you and there are like 8 people yelling at it. thats what it reminds me of sometimes cuz theres like 8 people telling me where to put my feet and stuff.

I can't stand it when people 'cheer me on' I start laughing and fall off. So I'm getting one of those MP3 players (thanks to some jack a$$ who stole my CD player at nat'ls) to play while I'm climbing.

You guys caught me.
This is SO me at the crag w/ my partner. I try to stay involved in the climb so I don't get distracted by all the hotties walking by and drop him . It's all good w/ him until he's on the crux, then he doesn't want to hear jack from me...."SHUT UP, will ya. I'm the one up here, beleive me, it may look good to you from down there, but there's NOTHIN' here so SHUT UP!!". It's all good again once he passes that part though and the chatter continues.
I have a small mind anyway and usually only one thing can occupy it at once and if I don't try really hard, the chicks will always win out.
