In Climbing Magazine (september's issue #206 pg 36) There is a story on a man who went into Fontainebleau with a hammer and destroyed some of the area's classic problems. My question is this, Is it right to try and recreate some of the problem's, or "have the rocks suffered enough?" I would love your opnion! I read that article... man did it piss me off. I can't beleive some idiot would do such a thing. I tell you if that ever happened to a climbing area in Illinois there would be some aggressive people twards that person (e.g. guidebook wrighter Eric Ulner). lol I heard somewhere they were talking about putting some kind of chemical on the rock to sort of recreate the holds. I wouldn't, leave them as they are and make some new bouldering problems.
