Combined with a front and rear blinky-light and some reflective clothing this would work very well!

Looks great, thanks for sharing. Have to wonder about drag, but it's probably loads less than a tire sidewall dynamo anyway.

If they fit a couple of leds onto the seatpost they could fashion a brakelight of sorts and avoid even more accidents.

Hmmn, interesting, cars still like to hit bicycles !
Its a power thing.

Though seems more in likely in the mean streets than in the corn field country of Nebraska.
