These asshole are starting WW3 so what do you recommend for six months to a year worth of food that does not need refrigerator ?
I already got the rice and bean covered and few dry fruits.

Here's a collection of information, don't know if it says anything about neighbors.
Flashlights, extra batteries.
Blankets.
Cooking & heat. Don't forget lots of matches to light things.
Backpack (in case you have to move or in case you have to forage).
Medications.
Medical supplies.
Pack of cards, other time fillers.
Climbing rope
Shoes
Harness
Rack

You don't need a whole year. You need enough to get to the next harvest / restoration of "normalcy".
