I asked the admins to remove the link to the Front Page for these reasons:
When a thread gets started like "Do you lead?", it is geared towards the female perspective. When it gets linked to the FP, anyone clicks on it and answers without looking at what forum it is. If this questions was geared towards both sexes, then it should be directed to the General forum. So basically cutting the link maintains the special nature of this forum.
Also, if a woman wants to post a sensitive topic (i.e. feminine hygiene), they may not want it displayed on the FP for everyone to see and it could also open it up to spam.
My suggestion for promoting the Ladies Room to Women would be for 1) word-of-mouth and 2) Area Managers should mention the forum to their new female members.
What are your feelings on this ladies?

I agree. This will keep people from just blindly posting to these forums.

It's not secret and was never intended to be.
This was originally suggested by the admin staff to be restricted to only female members being able to access. All the women involved rejected this idea because we don't want to exclude any of our brothers if they want to come in and offer their advice.
HOWEVER~ this is a specialty forum. It is for women to discuss women's topics and sensitive issues in a safe environment.
Men~ feel free to read or even post, bt do so with maturity in mind. This is a very highly moderated forum and if you do not offer something useful and pertinent to the topic, it will be deleted or edited.
This is to maintain the integrity of the forum. Otherwise, it is just like any other forum and we already have enough to need an extraneous one.
