Hi all, looking for recomendations for a mountaineering backpack for my GF Specifications: - 35 L min, preferably more - for shortish frame (156 cm) - Ideally more than one comparment and/or secondary access zipper Any suggestions would be appreciated! Most of the womens packs she tried on (Mammut, Deuter) were too long for her size. Cheers!

(but color is not a deciding factor)

I'm currently looking for something similar in 30-40 liter range. On my list are women-specific Deuter Futura Pro 34 SL and Guide 40 SL and Gregory Jade and Sage packs I'm 155cm and in between XSM and SM sizes

I have the Osprey Ariel 55. Osprey must have updated them though, the ones one their site are slightly different than what I have. http://www.ospreypacks.com/en/product/womens/ariel_55_1_1 I am 5'4", about 120 lbs and it fits me well. It has a detachable fanny pack for day hikes and it fits quite a lot of stuff. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't leave my armpits as sore as other packs have. Good luck!
