Me too, and I cannot wait t return to the Gunks and give you a hug. He was the gentlest of gentlemen, always smiling, always visibly in love with you. If there were some way we could run a girth hitch around Mitch and bring him back to earth, sans that damned cancer of course, you know we would all tie our ropes end to end and short rope him back into your hands. Instead, we can only imagine that rope which connects the two of you, even through the physical and spiritual plane.
Be gentle with yourself during this time.

Gail,
I have an RSS to this forum set up, so I still see this headline every couple months. Every time I do, it reminds me to say a prayer for you. Wishing you strength during the holidays.
It also reminds me how precious life is - to never take my own husband for granted or to miss an opportunity to tell how much he means to me.
