YEAH! I am so proud of myself we went to the gym last night and I finally got a 5.8 that I have been fighting and came within a couple moves of doing a 5.9 I wanted to dance around the wall but knowing how graceful I am not probably would ended up getting tangled in the ropes! Just had to share I am still learning and it is so nice to see myself accomplishing more and more each time we go even though we only get to go a couple times a week. I got to go now hyped up on success and a triple shot mocha! bobbi

Great job! I love it when I break through a barrier, be it a new grade or a particularly hard move or a different style of route or rock that I just think I'll never get, and then suddenly I just do it. I had a great day climbing yesterday too. It was cool and crisp out (up here in Ontario) and there was a nice breeze and the rock just seemed to flow for me. I love days like this.

congradulations! I know how you feel.. I have wantedto dance on the wall too...i usually just let out a very satisfied...whoop or hollar! Gets me lots of silly grins from those around me. The fiirst roof I cleared I paused after wards looked below me and let out a very loud ...I DID IT! then realized i had practically screamed my glee...gave a sheepish grin tho those around me and continued on up the rout..giggling the whole way! Gotta LOVE this climbing thing!

I will chime in on this (first post in this forum ) She has probably been workign that particular one for at least 4 nights. I will admit that she really only attempted the route about a total of 4-5 times before she got it. She always got to the top the other times....just using the Rainbow technique (nice saying T.). She has just been getting progressivly better and having lots more fun. me sits back and enjoys every minute
