i am trying to put together a womens weekend at montreal river ontario, this is for beginners to the experienced, there will be ice climbing, x-country sking, snowshoeing, night trips, shaun parent will give lessons if needed, this is a way to get more women involved in winter sports, and if you havnt climbed at montreal river it has some nice climbs. for schedule info go to www.4beartooth.com i will be posting it on thier website, the days are jan 16-19. or email me at ylahey@hotmail.com

we are planning to go to the ouray ice fest this year, also the munising ice fest, and the new hampshire ice fest. ice climbing season is almost here! I really would like to get more women ice climbers in the midwest

I don't know if I could make it to canada, but ouray is certainly in my area. I've never been there, but am looking forward to going. Perhaps we'll meet on the ice.

i have been to the michigan ice fest but not the ouray ice fest it must be huge! we are hoping to make it this year hope to see you guys there

i just saw the ouray fest is the same weekend so we may come out in february instead to colorado

ok, so i guess this happened a while ago, but does anyone know of a good way to start ice climbing? ive never done it before but im dying to try and i was wondering if anyone had a little advice...

there will be several new ice climbers on this weekend, you can rent the equipment to see if you like the sport, you are welcome to join us, if this weekend is not good for you, email me and we can set up a different weekend to set up instructors at the lodge.
