I'm a 5.7 trad leader and looking for regular partners in So Cal to swap leads and start working on the 8's. Gym climbing (7-8 yrs), Sport leading (4-5 yrs), Trad leading (my favorite; 2-3 yrs). Will follow trad to 5.9-low 10s but preference is swapping leads.<p/>
That being said, I'm less about the rating of the climb and more about the quality of the climb and being happy about being outside and feeling comfortable with who I'm with. I'm bookish about safety (one A-16 class for intro to anchors; one Vertical Adventures class for anchors and trad leading).<p/>
I like crack and friction. My todo list includes (Jtree - Walk on the Wild Side, Double Cross, Dung Fu, Mr. Misty Kiss, Loose Lady, Smooth as Silk, Breakfast of Champions; Yosemite - Royal Arches, Half Dome moderate runout way). I will also do moderate sport climbs (but am keeping mindful of previous elbow tendinitis). <p/>
Have climbed at Joshua Tree (much and my favorite), Suicide/Tahquitz (limited), Williamson Rock, Yosemite (limited), Lover's Leap (2nd favorite), Squamish (British Columbia - tied for 2nd favorite), Thailand (Raileh Beach). My next travel hopes are India and/or Spain and/or France.<p/>
Other hobbies are hiking, cycling, salsa dance, cooking, reading (next best thing to travel), writing.
