tisar wrote: uasunflower wrote: forum dead again none climbing or doing anything fun? At least i'm back to the old sad europe and miss canada and roadtripping already... Hey Julia! Can imagine Canada was a gas. Nik told me that the weather was perfect these days and all. Not much climbing here - I'm stuck in the gym but after all I do work on getting back my lead head again . I really hope that's gonna pay out in Sardinia then. Post some more pics from Canada! Envy level has sunken below standard level... Otherwise: the usual nice one - Daniel Canada's a big place... Weather's gorgeous on this side. So far only been climbing plastic, but am off for a long weekend of wicked climbing. forcast for 25C for the next 5 days. Today's 28C...

Actually, I did get self-modded in that case. I decided that the comment didn't match the already low standards I hold for my posts, so I just deleted it. Obviously I wasn't fast enough but I refuse to care
booger wrote: Oh- we're back from the USA. Now I know who stole the sunshine. WELCOME BACK! Heikino and I already did extended research to check if you're lost or such (we checked for Paolos last post in the Italien forum, good to know one's adddictions). So how was the trip and where are the pictures? - Daniel

Sorry guys, don't have the pictures all loaded up yet - Paolo got a new camera/software and I haven't quite got my snazz up yet to figure it all out. Maybe he can post some up.. Great trip though! Very little climbing, to be honest - mostly fishing, drinking and visiting old friends. We did climb a couple of days in Red River Gorge and Colorado. I'll try to put up a couple of pictures with Paolo and his 2 rainbow trout!! YUM!!

Did a few days climbing in Val di Mello (all on Sasso Rameno), met Fillippo and his very lovely lady there, but just hiked with them (I couldn't get out of work early, plus got lost on way so was, oh, about 2 days late... still not at Fillippo's level, according to reports; plus it rained before I got there, so they didn't get to climb earlier anyway). Some pics maybe later from wife of guy I climbed with. And in a couple of weeks Sardinia with Tisar. Sorry to hear US was a bust for the dynamic duo, at least as far as climbing goes. Did Paolo do Ro Shampo? P.S. Don't get your snazz in the carpet, it'll be a worse mess than booger in the rug.

yeah, the golden october is here! sunday we enjoyed a perfect day in ettringen. marvellous friction and blue skies lifted everyones spirits. olov, not held back by a finger injury, did some impressive drytooling ascents of otherwise techno routes. the day ended with a mass ascent of halber mann, a route that was on the menu for the eurofreaks gathering already. now see what you missed!
I could finish a project (as usual...) and make some good progress on a very sporty combination of routes (about 8a+) in the second grotto.

and are the holes in the wall opposite made by the same enthusiastic dry-toolers or the less-enthusiastic, falling dry-toolers?

To date there are two routes fixed and two other projects in working progress. The route in the picture is an old aid line and if I am not mistaken it has been free climbed... It should be around F7b I have been told? Why, you want to go there? Actually the white wall is an old house built inside the cave and who knows where the holes came from

In reply to: Actually the white wall is an old house built inside the cave and who knows where the holes came from thats easy to answer: its most probably holes for the beams that make the roof or sth like that. same stuff you find in the sandstone towers that once held castles, i.g. palatine.
