Huh?! The weekend's over. I'm still trying to figure out how to get back to Germany, since strikes are supposed to peak Thursday, my original return date, so not up for Paris again this weekend, if that's what you're thinking. Apparently traffic outside Paris hasn't been impacted much, it's mostly inner-city that's a mess. Kind of spooky going through empty train stations, and not paying for metro. P.S. It was freaking cold yesterday, and today's warmer but rainy.

My w-e in Targasonne was awesome. -10°c the first night à 1500 m, but -2°c inside the tent. It was OK with my good sleeping bag. We slept in a field (the day after the farmer was a bit uspet, but he allowed us to stay one more night!). During the day, it was like +5°c, but we could almost climb topless! I did three 6a font and one 6b, missed a 6c. The rock is some abrasive granite, with cracks, slabs, overhangs, and some tricky mantles. Not as perfect as Bleau, but great anyway! I'm stuck in Montélimar for the next 2 w-e, and the planning is not done for the following weeks...

I'll be in Basel on Monday, Dec 3, for work, and am thinking of spending weekend of 1/2 there. Anyone up for climbing in the area? Have rock gear, no ice gear, climb 4 trad, 5 maybe, 5/6 sport, follow easy ice.

OK, enough ice :) Anyone got thoughts, contacts re. climbing in Morocco; landing in Fez, then likely down to Marrakech, and across Atlas mountains to Ouarzazate. Quick Google turned up some cragging at Gorge du Todra...
