german boulderers drink a lot of beer while french boulderers drink a lot of wine... Seriously, I don't think there's a lot of differences. Germans travel more than Frenchies, so they are usually more open minded. Now, I cannot compare all European countries, but the spirit is basically the same. You just have to find the right people.

Ooooh! I'm having flashbacks to the very first Eurofreaks thread ever (before the very first blah blah thread in the Intl section...) For just the basics: Frenchies: Spandex, baguettes, wine Germans: Cold meat, beer Spanish: Loud hippies British: ooh! It's -49° outside... that's right smashing climbing weather! Belgians and Dutch: shirtless screamers Austrians: Cold meat, bitch about the Germans Italians: Something to do with "fuck" and "madonna", throwing spaghetti American Xpats: kinda like the non-dancers at prom- watching all the others and making fun while trying to be as still as possible Irish: too busy drinking to climb. Who'd I miss?
