Anyone have any information on easy ice climbing in Germany? I am pretty new to ice, but have equipment and looking to find areas for this winter...

I live near Cologne, but spend a fair amount of time in the Munich area.

There are more than enough spots in the northern alps, more or less close to Munich.

edit: don't expect ice before late december - mid january;
There are some places outside the alps where you can climb ice but these are rarely in good conditions and then only for some days.

Thanks for the info. I plan to be in Munich in mid-January, so I will be exploring.
