I am planning a trip to Iceland next june and am looking for info on climbing there. What's good, where to go etc.. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are going in june, the chances to get climbing seem to be quite small.
as far as i understand, most of iceland is iceclimbing. At least the icelanders i have talked to, dont know good rock.
There might be some, but iceland is definetely not a top rockclimbing destination.

A lot of things donīt work in Iceland since I posted that link, like the economy, the banks.....
There is a topo guide to the biggest climbing area called Hnappavellir 2012, online no idea whatīs available.
Iceland isnīt exactly a sport-climbing mecca though!

ya i want to stop and see it befre going back to canada. does anyone know what kind of rock it is, i am assuming volcanic... any good for trad? any information is helpful

Just Google Hnappavellir climbing or something similar and you get videos and stuff. Its bolted volcanic.
