I have 2 questions regarding climbing one Mallorca. The first, I already posted over in International, with no reply
So, here goes nothing in the Euro Freaks forum....
1) A Rack for Mallorca:
I realize the vast majority of the climbing on Mallorca consists of fully bolted lines, but I am really hoping to do at least Sa Gubia, Normal/Albahida, and maybe a couple other shorter lines that require gear.
Due to the whole baggage weight limit thing, I am only planning on taking a set of nuts and tri-cams up to #4.0 (green).. And obviously plenty of slings, draws and such.
Should that be enough/right, or is there any "special" bits of gear that I might need (e.g. large cams, mirco wires, etc)?
2) Is climbing in the Boquer Valley allowed?
I can't seem to find any recent info regarding access. If it is, can anyone tell me which route/formation the Shark's Fin is? It is mentioned in the guide I have, but the only route description that seems to fit, is for L'aguila (The Eagle). Are they one in the same?
