Does anyone have any info on how to get a guidebook for Cresciano, Chironico, and the Magic Wood in Switzerland. I know blocheart is supposed to be good, but I have had a lot of trouble finding a place to buy it online.

blocheart is yr best bet because it has so many different areas, and because the weather there is so uneven, w. so many micro-climates, it's good for a visitor to know all the options.

sustenpass, for instance, turned out to be a really good area w. killer stone that dried quickly after the rain.

i lost my copy of blocheart somewhere in swi last summer-- i'll probably break down and order another one before next year.

Do you know of a place online that I would be able to purchase it?

you can order it online. either direct from the publisher or amazon.de
the shipping'll cost as much as the book, but if yr planning a trip, it might be worth it. the guide's already a bit out of date, and there will be good newer topos to individual sites, but no other guide pulls the whole area together in one usable book.

you could also try used book sites, like abebooks.com and see if there's a copy floating around loose in this continent for cheaper.

you're going to pay some dough anyway if yer going to switzerland-- the place is just plain expensive compared to other parts of europe.
