Hi everyone, Here are the winners of the CAMP Acronym Competition: First prize: The winning entry was submitted by Mike Johnson (user pseudolith). Mike's winning entry, Crags Are My Playgrounds, was chosen by users in a poll of the ten finalists. Mike will receive a bountiful bag o'schwag from CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment, including a Rox+ Pack, 12 Orbit Express Quick Draws, an HMS Compact belay biner, a Shell belay device, four 60cm x 8mm Dyneema runners equipped with Nano 23 biners and Orbit rope end biners, a Crystal Chalk Bag, a box of chalk and a Quartz CR3 harness. Second prize: The second prize was decided in a draw, and the winner is William Czajkowski (user shockabuku). William will receive a Rox Pack, a Rocky Rope Mat, a Quartz CR3 harness and five Orbit Wire Express Draws. Congratulations Mike and William! Have fun, be safe, and remember to post some pics of the gear!! On behalf of Rockclimbing.com and its users I'd like to thanks CAMP for sponsoring the competition. Cheers, DDT

Congratulations Mike and William! And thank you to CAMP for having such a fun and cool contest and their generous prizes. I use CAMP helmets and autolocking 'biners and I absolutely love them.

Thanks C.A.M.P. and RC.com! The bag o' schwag will go a long ways towards getting this boulderer off the ground and clipping some bolts. Now all I need is the endurance to pull more than 6 consecutive moves. I appreciate the votes, and I'll post up pics of the gear in use as soon as I break it in. - Mike

It appears that CAMP never went with the acronym suggestion after all. As quoted today from their website, "Our name, CAMP, is an acronym that stands for Concezione Articoli Montagna Premana or Conception of Articles for Mountaineering Made in Premana." http://www.camp-usa.com/
