I met up with B.C. climbers Kman (Kevin), Kelownaclimber (Mike), and Kelownaclimberette (Aneeta) along with a couple of Mikes climbing buddies, Dan and his wife Karen, and Adrienne (sic? sorry if I missed it) and his two kids.
We met up in Penticton B.C. for the May Long Weekend (it's a Canadian holiday) gettogether that Mike organized at Skaha Bluffs. Mike and Aneeta were incredibly awesome hosts! They planned for our every need, and were very gracious and friendly! They even offered to put my new friend and I up in their home and take us to climb on dry (overhanging) rock in their neighborhood (they live a little ways North of Penticton) when the weather turned bad on Monday!

Kman is a very nice polite and friendly kid, that I instantly took a liking to (handsome too, girls! ), he's got a great attitude about learning to be a better climber (and the weather), I look forward to climbing with him and some of the other Westsiders, that are used to climbing on moss like I am, at Squamish and in Vancouver!

Mike, his buddies, and their families were typical (to me at least) Canadian families.
Nice, well educated, funny, sincere, hardworking, ect... The same things that make me like my friends, you know! Adrienne and I definitely were kindred spirits (I liked him a lot too!)

I was bummed that I missed Bcmtngrl (Cheryl) and her husband. We got lost and had some little "adventures in driving" of our own, so we were late getting into town (by about 12 hours, oops) thanks in part to my lousy navigating skills, not having my passport (it's only Canada for cryin' out loud not Afganistan!) but mostly due to the fact that they do an even worse job of marking their highways than we do here in Washington!

I was also lucky enough to meet up with Thelawgoddess, I was lucky for so many reasons! She came through for me at what seemed like the last minute, I was going to take the Greyhound Bus, but I was able to ride with her! She was very cool about my blowing it on the documents to make the border crossing and my answer that "It's O.K. they know me at the border!" (Don't ask) She is really fired up on climbing, though she hasn't been climbing long, and I felt totally comfortable with her as my belayer, and as my friend! But I was most lucky that she didn't end up killing me for incessantly babling, like a nervous schoolboy on his first prom date, all weekend long! I hope I didn't drive her too crazy! It also didn't hurt my feelings at all when I finally realized, that she was and is as beautiful as any of the wildflowers I saw that weekend!

I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who shared my weekend with me, it truely brightened my soul when I really needed it!!!

Best of luck, in all that life has to offer you!

Jeff AKA Krusty

So I'll post it here (with fiend/Marks help) and direct my friends to it myself! I was lost in another forum and very frustrated when Mark rescued me from cyber-hell (being a fiend he knew his way around!)

D'oh...I just typed this out but I wasn't logged in, so it didn't work. So here is the short version.

Big thanks to Mike and his wife Aneeta for making all the camping arrangments, and putting it all together. They were excellent hosts. Congrats on your first lead Aneeta, you did awesome

Tried slacklining for the first time too, lots of fun. I have to pick up some more webbing so I can make one.

Jeff was a little late arriving so unfortunatly we did not get a chance to climb together due to Mondays rain. I look forward to meeting up with you again for some climbing.

It was great meeting everyone and hopefully we can all get together in the near future for some more climbing.
