Hooked up withy Glenn, beerandblood, whom I met online here at RC.com. We went to Mt Rubidoux in Riverside, Ca. his stomping grounds. If was drizzling and wet, climbed a little, talked a lot. Ended up getting a workout at my gym. He's been climbing a lot longer than me, and knows a lot of climbing history. I look forward to climbing with him again in the future... He's good people. ~Adam p.s. His dog is cool too.

I know this is an old post but since beerandblood is the subject...he's coming up tomorrow(4-26-02) to teach me a few things about climbing. We're going to Pinnacles National Monument. Look for us if you're there this weekend.

I'm jealous... Good to hear that Glenn is getting back on the "sharp end" again... I know that he was on a bouldering binge. His experience at climbing greatly exceeds mine. I look forward to climbing with Glenn quite a bit in the years to come. ~Adam

My time with Glenn was awesome! Saturday morning we get up and after he pounds his fifteen cups of coffee, we head up the hill. Glenn is very cold-blooded and the weather was cold and dreary. Glenn found an eighty foot, overhanging, 5.10d to freakin' warm up on!. He said he needed to find a climb that was overhanging so he could be out of the drizzle! Of course he just buzzed right up the thing. I knew fairly quickly that I was in for a weekend of belay-slavin' because anything I could actually climb he would be bored with. He is a great guy to hang out with and is as cool as he looks. A great weekend spent hanging out and climbing. P.S.Between you and me...he laughs at all my stupid jokes but I couldn't figure out if he was trying to make me feel good or if he actually thought they were funny! Here are a few pictures from our trip. [ This Message was edited by: jmlangford on 2002-04-29 13:51 ]

Oh, I HAVE to chime in to the "Ode to beerandblood" thread! Climbed with him in J-Tree a few weeks back (I swear I'll post the pics when I finish off the roll, bro!) and I have never met someone with such a badass appearance (TATTOOS, anyone? Oh, but beautiful!) with such a gentle soul... I was witness to his first run on the sharp end in 5 (??) years and he sailed fearlessly as if it had been 5 days. As if that was not enough, he took us out to a few boulder problems after and wowed Scott (bullit) and I with his highball talents. Geez! He made it look effortless. I was sorely impressed. Truly a privilage and pleasure to climb with him. I suggest any of you try to do so if you are in the SoCal area! [ This Message was edited by: climberchic on 2002-04-29 21:56 ]

Glenn rules I got to pound some coffe with him, and climb in the drizzle with him. Can you see a trend here ??? Look forward to seeing you when I get back to SoCal Glenn. (Plus I still need your skills at carpentry to fix the deck around my spa, remember?) ~Adam

Yeh...Glenn was kinda worried about anyone making plans to climb with him...Seems like drizzle follows him everywhere. The black cloud that follows him does NOT match his warm personality, though. Didja check out the pictures of our trip Adam?

Glenn, Gimme a call, my answering machine gives out my toll free nation-wide pager. I'll send you some $$$, and you can have it done by the time I return in mid June with Mark (fiend), as he's gonna spend the better part of the Summer with me. That way wou'll be free to show us around The Needles, and you'll have a pocket full of dough. ~Adam

Yeah, and thanks for the beer bro. I owe you one. Maybe I will see ya at Josh this weekend (May 3rd-ish?). I think it will be damn cold at Tahquitz since Palm Springs is 55 degrees in the morning with 30 mph winds now). TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag
