I think it would be more efficient, but this site has enough segregation. Like it’s been said before, adding more forums will only separate us more. Dyno On Andy

I know what you are saying.....but more and more questions are being asked and there is no good forum for it. This is not another style of climbing. I really feel that if there were a slacklining forum that it would make this a better site. Just my opinion though. It is something that goes hand in hand with climbing. don't stop the scream

Why does slacklining go hand in hand with climbing. They are good practice for each other, and maybe climbing is involoved to reach a BIG slackline area, but no where in the history of climbing have I read about any of the WALLENDAS, or that guy who does the big ones like the trade center and niagra falls being greats in the history of climbing. I think it is ok to discuss it on a climbing site, but as a climbing discipline in and of itself, slacklining is not CLIMBING. JUST MY $0.02

Why is it not going to happen? …. I would like to think that this site is more than just another "climbing" site, but a site that is a community of people who have a common interest - climbing. If the "community" that cares for this site, visits its sponsors, buys its stickers, adds links and routes wants a section on slack lining, I believe that there should be one. If current administrators are not willing to do what the members of this site expect, then in my opinion they are here for themselves and not for the sites members. -sONofSpORk P.S. - If I made it to sound that I am not thankful for all of the time and work that the current administrators put into this site, I’m sorry. I am very pleased with what this site has become in the last 8 months that I have been a member. You guys (administrators) have done a great job at maintaining and improving on this site and your work is very much appreciated.

Just because climbing greats or what not are not avid slackliners does not mean it does not go hand in hand. Does it take some great to make a difference. Am I not a climber even though I have done nothing great? It is a training aid but it goes beyond that. If you climb long enough you are bound to run into a slackline. People climb during the day and then hang out by the slackline at night. I think it is a big part of the climbing scene and will only get bigger. I am with SonofSpork on this. If ten moderators don't think it belongs but two hundred people think it would be a benefit to the site I think it should be included. If a forum was made and it went unused or was not being constructive then it could always be removed. Why not give it a chance?

I'm sure a slacklineing forum will fly better then the Ice climbing forum But when ever the alpine/ice climbing forum looks bad, I just take a look at the acess forum...or the spanish forum, eh?

There are over 5000 registered users on here. I would assume under 100 will attend the SLC meeting, making the current poll an interesting choice to me. Why not have a real poll and ask people if they think that they personally or that the site in general could benefit from a slacklining forum?

It most likely won't happen for the same reason there isn't a top roping forum.
