Okay, I have this funny video of my friend trying to climb an old Victorian gutter with a few slings for pro and taking a little whipper, and decided the greater world of rc.knob should get to see it. Problem is, I can;t seem to upload it. I'm not all technical with this kinda thing so I', hoping someone can help me. When I fill out the thingy like I would a photo and hit upload, the orange thing comes up and it sez "uploading" for ages, but won't actually do anything. For absolutely ages. Is the file too big? I think the vid is like 30s long.

More important info than length is the actual file size, and maybe what sort of internet connection you have. The vids I uploaded were ~40MB each (....5min long?), so they did take a while. I had to reduce them in size to get them down to 40MB though. They were waaayyyy bigger originally, and there was no way I could've uploaded them. If you need to reduce the size of your vid, check out VirtualDub (it's free, and can do a decent compression job).

http://sourceforge.net/...&use_mirror=garr As far as how to actually reduce the size of your vid, you will probably need to do a bit of Googling based on whatever format it is currently. As I am sure you saw, your goal needs to be: "(100MB max)(Only wmv, avi, mpg and mov allowed)" For such a short vid, you should easily be able to get it down below 10MB, which should then be easily uploadable.
