Not to bash anyone (I know I've been guilty of this too), but can we please all try to make the subject lines in forum posts say something that gives members a clue about the topic of that post? It's hard to determine what's pertinent with super-vague subject lines and I'm sure not everyone has the time or energy to read every post... (Edit: Oops...I didn't mean to put this in the bouldering forum...would someone please move it?) [ This Message was edited by: dupree on 2002-06-18 12:21 ]

I expected this to be about vague subject lines and how they suck and I click on it and instead it's a story about taking a pet border collie to the crag and the importance of helmets for your pets.

Wow, you got a post about border collies? I got one about the growth and propagation of foot fungus in fetid bouldering slippers. Weird. Traddad

I made a post similar to this a while back. When I posted it was about the '...'s. Every other post title was something like "Would you like to..." and then you'd look in and it would either be something totally pointless or valid, but horribly misleading. I guess it's a matter of taste, but I always felt decieved.

I take it upon myself to finish the titles people dont. I despise titles like "help me with...", or "can someone tell me about..." or "who has done..." or "(insert words here)..." See where I'm going here?

So you like subject titles to give something more than a vague hint of what's to follow? Picky, picky, picky! Maybe a suggestion near the title line when posting a new topic would help. Something along the lines of "Please make topics clear and concise."
