Description

For all-around, general mountaineering, the Contact has proven to be the ultimate companion. Specifically designed for glacier walking and moderate alpine climbing, the Contact is available in both a clip and strap model—allowing it to be worn with any kind of boot. Snowboarders and ski mountaineers tackling long approaches will appreciate the Contact Strap, while those in leather boots with heel welts will clip in to the Contact Clip. Trim and light, these horizontally-railed crampons keep snowballing at bay with the Contact ABS, and come equipped with a quick-adjust mechanism for a precise fit in seconds.

I've used these for general mountaineering (not technical ice) and they've worked excellently. the strap can be a pain to put on, though.

I found these at the BD demo sale for $30.00. Don't think they've ever been used. I have sabertooth ones I use on my climbing boots so I got these for my lighter summer boots or as back-ups. I guess I'll use them more for "travel" when I don't want to use plastic.
