Double Spring Ice Leash

Grivel Double Spring Ice Leash Fall 2006 The Double Spring leash by Grivel is a tether specifically designed to maintain control of leashless tools in situations where a dropped tool would be disastrous. Steve House and Marko Prezelj used the Double Spring during their second ascent thirty years after the first of the Lowe-Jones route on the north face of North Twin in the Canadian Rockies. It is also useful in the Ouray Ice Park where a dropped tool can disappear into the river.
