The nut of the locking sleeve engages on the gate - not on the carabiner frame - this helps prevent jamming or vibrating loose. The gate and sleeve are both stainless steel insuring a lifetime of smooth action and trouble-free service. Offered in five colors including Black for tactical use. Purple, Orange and Red feature color anodized frame with bright gate, Black features black frame, gate & sleeve.
