Wile the bent gate variety really sucks (can stay open, gate has really nothing of a spring) but the straight gate version is really a great biner (apart from the weight).
10 kn Gate open are still pretty powerfull, and the handling is good. also the nose is somewaht hooded, wich will reduce the risk of it getting opened.
If you have the money, get some heliums or other light and strong stuff, but if youre on a budget this biner is among the better cheap ones.

I only have one of these, and it is the bent gate variety. I won it at a competition.
It is a decent shape, and all that, but the wiregate on the one that I have is sort of flimsy, it doesn't close enough to catch the notch, and with minimal force can actually bend to one side far enough to not be able to catch the notch even when forced closed. I use it on my waterbottle, and I carry it as an escape biner. If you are purchasing this biner, I suggest you examine each one and make sure it is built better than the one I have.

At 47g per biner for a full size biner, these are pretty light. The shape of the biner fits your hand perfectly and in conjunction with grooves on the spine it makes for good handling. There are a few cons to it though. It has a very small gate opening, which can get very annoying. The gate action is also very hard and might cause a fumbled clip or two on those super sketchy sport climb. It is rated to 25kN closed gate, 10kN open gate and 7kN crossloaded. Overall a good product, but not super special

The extra lip ate the clip in is a great addition when having to clip in the rope. plus the shape conforms to fit your hand perfectly. The outer edge has a grooved contact area to help avoid those oopsies as well. I five star beaner, the only reason I would give it a lesser rating would be that their pretty difficult to find.
