I bought this jacket in January of 1999 and it has served me well. I got it in Chicago after realizing my leather jacket wasn't cutting it. It packs well for backpacking and hiking, blocks wind and is warm when used with various layers. After six years it is showing wear but what do you expect. I would buy another.
