Aviator Belay Device

Mad Rock just made the belay device better.The Mad Rock Aviator used the standard tube-style belay device as a starting point and improved it.The Aviators unique removable spring keeps the device from locking when you feed the rope -- an inherent design weakness with regular tube-styled belay devices.The forged and machined aircraft aluminum body makes the Aviator light and it provides for optimal heat dissipation.The Aviator also works for belaying seconds off an anchor and can be easily rigged for releasing a load when used off an anchor as well.The Aviators unique ergonomic fin can be used to modulate speed while lowering or descending.
