Description
The Pirana is a canyoning descender for single or double rope. It offers three different braking positions to choose from, according to the weight of the user, the rope diameter in use, and the terrain. It also offers 2 points where the rope can be angled to adjust the descent speed. A plastic attachment also ensures perfect support for any type of HMS locking carabiner. The Pirana can also be used to belay the leader.

Great for long raps

When the rappel is too long to double up and you have to do a single line rappel, the pirana is amazing for adding as much friction as you want to better control your descent.

i use it cave and apline tower repeling double rope and single rope repelling and single rope there is some rope twist

I took one with me to Zion National Park and it worked great for canyonneering. I realy liked the variable braking. It was also really easy to get out of when you rappel into a pool. The only downside was some rope twist.
