Description
The Element Wire Gate Carabiner by Mammut is ideal for any type of roped climbing you can do. With a wire gate biner you get very little to no backlash on the gate when weighted or fallen on, making this biner very hard to open up easily. Great for the rope end of quickdraws as it is easy to clip, and lays flat against the rock.

These are cheap at all my local stores, $6-7, they're reasonably light (37g) and they get the job done. I have almost 20 of them. Good for putting on extendable draws or they come matched with a solid gate on a sport draw for about $15. They clip alright. Not hooded. A good general wiregate, nothing fancy.
