Description

Known as an ultra-durable, workhorse draw, the Quicksilver2 Straitjacket Draw pairs up bent- and straight-gate Quicksilver2s. The result? A quickdraw that can endure clip after clip, route after route. Quicksilver biners have streamlined bodies that keep bulk at a minimum…and strength at a maximum. An angled nose makes for easy clipping and a wide rope-bearing surface allows rope to travel smoothly through this versatile draw. Burly, durable and 100% functional, the Quicksilver2 Straitjacket Draw is ready and raring to go. An essential for thin cracks, seams and fissures Copper-infiltrated steel for a nice mix of “bite” and durability Patented swedged assembly increases strength

Great Draw for the $ 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: nb_boarder16, 2007-04-12

My second favorite quickdraw. I have been using these for 2 years now and they are still taking my abuse like champs. The wire is perfect for rope and the quicksilvers are just classic. If I had the extra money I would go ahead and buy the posiwire draws for the sole purpose that when you strip your draws for biners in a pinch (and it will happen) the positrons are simply unsnagable on webbing or anything else. These are still top sport draws though.

Great quickdraws, lightweight and functional. Hotwire carabiner is so easy to clip. Love 'em, best quickdraws I know. Also, wiregates rock because they don't open if they hit the rock, so they are less likely to fail.

I replaced the Quicksilvers with Positrons for the hell of it. Love this draw. I own two of the 18mm and they are the first ones I go for if I have a hard clip. Best draws I own.

Great draws. The wiregate is the easiest clipping biner I own. I have the 18cm version. Love 'em

Having only owned and used about 5 different kinds of draws, I can still say that these are my favourite, and I'm not looking any more for quickdraws. When I found and tried these, they felt significantly easier to clip the rope into than my previous fav. (After trying and comparing a couple of these, I just had to have a dozen.) For me, these are the best I've found, given that this is my spec list: ok price, easy to clip (both subjective of course,) minimum 9 kN open-strength, at least wire on rope end.
