I absolutely love this harness, especially when compared to my "hand me down" first harness. The Velcro on the waist belt is handy, but can cause some panic when taking a fall, the "rriiiiipppp" sound of it can at first be unnerving. the leg loops are more difficult to tighten or loosen, but once you get a good size for them, it doesn't need changing.
good starter harness on the cheap

This was the first harness I bought. Pros: comfy; velcro at the waist makes cinching the belt easy; fairly cheap for a padded harness. Cons: not the best for my body because while the waist cinches down pretty tight the leg loops are at their maximum so I have to constantly check the tails to make sure they are ok; the 'haul' loop is mostly just a chalk bag loop; and the 'drop-able' attachment on the leg loops is a huge hassle. The fit might have to with it being a unisex harness and my 'feminine' figure, but I don't like high rise harnesses.
eh...

maybe it's just how this harness sits on me, but it bites my hips worse than anything! Not to mention the gear loop broke off at the stitching. You might pay 40 bones for it now, but if you lose a few cams cause of a blown out gear loop, you might reconsider the "bargain" price
Best...for less

Possibly the most comfortable harness I've ever worn, and definitely the best for under $50. I love the gear loops, makes racking gear and unclipping quickdraws on the fly so much easier. Also, the leg/waist straps work great and the design for tightening the waist is the simplest I've ever seen. Bottom line: I recommend this harness for anyone even over more expensive models, just make sure the sizing is right.
Had 2 of these harnesses it 2 months.

Bought this harness at REI. The stitching around the waist by the gear loop pulled out a little bit. Returned it (thank god for REI's return policy) The second one ended up being worse. Was comfy though....just won't trust it.
