Best helmet out there 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: chrismcnamara, 2010-06-21

The Meteor III is a runaway favorite of all helmets i have used. This is the lightest, most comfortable helmet tested. If you can afford it and are looking for the best (and have the awareness to take proper care of it), go with the Meteor III. It has total top–of-the-head coverage, is fully adjustable and has a comfortable suspension system. It's the perfect helmet for climbing at your limit, especially if you're extremely weight–conscious. Most importantly, it is one of the few helmets that completely eliminates the excuse to not wear a helmet. Unless you are concerned about how chic you look in photos, there is no reason to climb without a helmet, especially when it is this light and comfortable.

Comfortable and Light 4 out of 5 stars

Review by: banjolele, 2010-06-09

This helmet is comfortable, light, and spiffy looking.

I shave my head and other, non-foam, helmets felt uncomfortable on my scalp. This was not a problem with the Meteor. It is light enough that I forget it is on, but feels fairly sturdy (though I haven't taken a head hit with it) when I bump it on the rock.

My only complaint is the price for a piece of molded foam, but it should last a while.

superb 5 out of 5 stars

I have had this helmet for almost three years now and love it. I have used it in all kinds of weather and find it cool and breathable in the summer and accomadating of hats and balaclavas in the winter. Construction and durability have held up to many days of wear and and small bumps and knocks but no falls on to it as of yet.

Great lightweight and comfotable helmet! 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: ThunderWhale, 2007-12-18

I REALLY like this helmet! It is super lightweight, as mentioned above you can barley even tell you are wearing it. It is also comfortable. It fits my head very snugly when tightened, no moving around! I recommend this helmet to anyone! It is the best helmet I've ever worn. Thanks Petzl!
