Startech has a new and ergonomic shape, different from the conventional schemes of mountaineering helmets. The adjustment is made with the helmet on the head, by means of device places on the back part of the helmet. The headband is covered by soft anti-moisture velvet, for maximum comfort. Adjustable chin straps with a new fast closing system. Shell made by polycarbonate, with aeration holes and plates to fix the head lamp. Camp site says...

STARLIGHT - 188 Starlight is characterised by advanced structural and technological features. The external polycarbonate shell and the high-density polystyrene interior are integrated in a single structure by means of an innovative “In Moulding” manufacturing process. Air circulation is ensured by two large side vents covered by a perforated grill with built-in torch clips. The result is a compact, extremely light helmet. One size, with fast adjustment system.

I used 100% Silicone Caulk from Home Depot, bought a tube to secure the far it has been holding. Used the rest around the house

When I first tried it on in the store I thought it was great. It fit me well and looked nice for a helmet.

First warm day I went out the glue started to melt. By the end of the season the pads were all out of place and far too much of my hair remained with the helmet. At first oppurtunity I returned the bloody thing to MEC and got another helmet.

Decent Helmet, one size fits all and the head band adjusts easily. I don't really like the chin strap adjusment or clasp, but they work well enough. The biggest problem with this helmet is that the glue used to attach the head band to the foam, is soft, and come undone in hot temperatures. After 1 year, my hair would get stuck in the soft glue, and when I would remove the helmet, large amouts of my hair would be pulled out. I removed all the original glue, using a knife and razor, then re-glued using Barge Shoe repair kit. It worked well, the headband stays stuck to the shell, and my hair stays on my head.
