Description

Clog cams cover a wide range of cracks, from 13mm to 100mm in 9 sizes and each size has a dedicated color code sling. They achieve a 3 sigma guaranteed minimum pull out load of (14kn) when tested in accordance with EN12276. All Clog cams use a 13.75 degree camming angle which gives the optimum expansion range ideal for low friction rocks and flared placements. They have flexible stems covered by a nylon tubular sheath which gives the long stem directional control The tube is fitted with enough tolerance to allow movement for inspection and cleaning. The springs are rigorously selected and tested to resist cam 'bounce' and to help the cams seat on gritty surfaces and to reduce 'walking'. Strong, lightweight single Nickel Chrome Molybdenum steel axles allow the stem to rotate under load and transfer fall forces to the cams Special Buy Clog cams provide effective camming protection at an economical price and should form the basis of any traditional climber's rack.. Imported.

Low price, but low quality, too. Buy forged friends instead. Cam stops are not full strength. Sling is not spectra or gemini. I threaten to throw my buddy's Clog cam in teh woods everytime I have to use it.

The only thing that stops me giving these a 5 is the lack of cam stops. The other posters say it all - nothing wrong with these cams unless you need that cam stop or you're a badge snob. In which case you have a rack full of camalots already... ;)

I only own two of these cams and found that they have given me very good placements. The only thing that I don't like as well between these and the WC friends is that the guide wires seem to get twisted much more often.

A good product made even better when you find them for $20. So far holding up great even after falls. Not as smooth as metolius and BD though.

I bought these blindly over the web due to their cheap price. I fell in love with them the second I touched them. They are basically Wild Country friends, but better. I say that because I like that they don't have that big "Stem gaurd" on them and cheaper. They have a nice big broad head and will not walk. I don't use the smaller ones, because I like Aliens but for sizes 2" and up I would highly recomend them.
