Description

When youre packing along the kitchen sink and more, reach for the Kelty Red Cloud 5600 to comfortably haul your gear for a weekend outing or a luxurious overnight. High-density polyethylene HDPE framesheet and lightweight I-beam aluminum stays provide load support, stability and shock absorption. Quick rip-and-stick adjustment allows the shoulder strap system to easily slide up and down on packs frame to fit torsos of various lengths. Padded, S-shaped shoulder straps contour to your body without rubbing or chaffing. Contoured, dual-density foam hipbelt features a HDPE reinforcement that evens out pressure against hips providing comfortable load support. Sternum strap, load-lifter straps and belt stabilizers help balance the load pulley-like Scherer Cinch doubles hipbelt tightening force. Combination front-panel and top-loading design provides complete access to all corners of the pack. Zipper-accessed sleeping bag compartment has an internal zip-out divider and external sleeping-pad straps. Main compartment can hold a hydration reservoir and features drinking tube ports on lid reservoir sold separately. 2 spacious zippered side pockets, 2 mesh water bottle pockets and a large front pocket with organizer keep all of your often-used essentials handy. Daisy chain, ice-axe loop and lash tabs let you strap on extras to the outside of the pack. Removable, floating top pocket converts to a waistpack for forays away from base camp. Spindrift collar cinches down over the main compartment to seal out rain or snow. Side compression straps secure and stabilize the load.

Great pack for any length of trip ... easy to adjust straps and internal frame to fit any body shape ... not the lightest pack out there, but for the price (you can find it for about $100-$125 at sites like moosejaw.com or campmor.com) you can't beat it ... plenty of room to store all of your gear - the front, top, and bottom openings make it simple to access even the most buried piece of gear
