i love this tent. yes. 2 persons + gear, or 2 persons +dog. Three people is an orgy in that thing. That being said. total pack weight is 7lbs+, so you can divide the weight between those who are sleeping in it. full coverage rain fly and nice and breezy

I have had this tent for about 2 seasons now, using it for at least a dozen trips a year. Its held up great and sleeps me, a friend, and my dog (90lbs German Shepherd) with space to spare. I particularly like how tall it is and its just huge for a great price.

Great for car camping and River trips 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this tent for road tripping climbing trip, basically car camping. It's great for 2 people, I lived in it for 2 months with another guy, we both liked our space and had enough of it. I've seen a few rainy days in it and it stayed plenty dry on the inside. It would be crowded for 3, but reasonable if weight was a big deal. It is not light, and I would not take it back packing, but if I don't have to carry it very far, it is my number 1 choice. It doesn't have much vestibule space, and can be a bit finicky to stake out, but these are my only complaints, and are fairly minor ones.

For two people it is a huge tent by todays standards. A little snug for three but workable. Not real light at 8lbs with rainfly and ground cloth, but if you split the load it is reasonable. Holds up great to big winds and thunderstorms. Not a drop of water inside. Nice and wide open on a rainless night.
