Description
Light, sensitive and precise, the FRENEY XT sports a curved asymmetrical climbing last to position your feet optimally for hard mixed and water ice climbing efficiency. Crosta Idro leather uppers sport futuristic fashion and are backed by Primaloft insulation with Cambrelle lining to keep your toes warm and dry. The soft lining and insulation contribute to the conforming fit of the deep heel pocket - which holds your foot down and reduces strain. The FRENEY XT's power is derived from Scarpa's Trilogy Tech Sole System which combines various materials to promote rigidity for front pointing yet also remains sensitive to "feel" rock holds and comfortable for long mountain approaches. Now equiped to accept the GSB (Grivel System Binding) Crampons with positive tongue-in-slot front connection. Double cut cuff is close fitting, relieved in rear and flexible to facilitate multiple foot positions. Friction is provided by a hydrophobic Vibram Tepui sole and Megabyte rubber rands. Now with Gore-tex inner bladder to keep totally dry! Accepts all crampons.
The Freney XT GTX is a modern alpine boot make of K-Tech and is intended for use on classic and modern alpine routes. Its lightness will appeal to climbers tackling long and difficult alpine itineraries and as well as use by mountain guides and other climbers who wear their boots day in, day out, on the most varied terrain. Under heavy loads or when using crampons or tackling rock climbs, these boots offer exceptional comfort. Tri-Flex System offera the best precision and control on technical terrain and the rigid sole, based on the Cumbre design, ensures maximum grip and stability. The lining is Gore-Text Duratherm backed by generaous padding to make sure your feet are protected from the cold and wet, and able to stay dry as you work up a sweat.
