My girlfriend has the Athenas, and they've served her well. The only problem we've really had is that they absorb foot odor to a point where you just don't want to use them let alone leave them in a hot car...haha. We tried lysol spray and febreze, and they work for a small amount of time.

Great shoes for narrow feet! 5 out of 5 stars

Really nice bouldering shoes... It's the first shoe I've owned that fits my heel properly. I do have narrow feet and I've heard people with wider feet find these shoes a bit tight. Nice smearing capabilities--mid-sole is flexible but retains somes tiffness. They don't stretch much so make sure you don't buy them too small. Down side is that they absorb foot odor. Just had these puppies resoled and they fit the same, but also stink the same. It's not a super aggressive shoe, but it is a fantastic basic bouldering shoe that I'd recommend to anyone.

Great for performance bouldering. The full heel cup is wonderful for bouldering. The "S" shaped sole helps the foot bend when necessary to smear, yet is still stiff enough for edging. Because the shoes are animal friendly, they do not stretch over time. My shoes are just as tight today as the day I bought them a year ago. The company has a lifetime no delamination guarantee (talk about confidence in their product considering that's how alot of shoes fail) and have super friendly customer service. I ended up having to return the first pair I bought because they were too small. They even caught up to me a few weeks later to ask how the shoes were performing! I highly recommend these shoes.
