Edges were shaped using a sawzall and belt sander (extra coarse belt). Forstner bits and a rasp were used to make the pockets. I smeared the edges with a mix of liquid nails and sand to minimize the chance of plywood delaminating. On the larger features, I drilled t-nut holes to allow placement of holds on top of the feature.
