Hangdogging on gear popular

Well, sometimes you just have to hangdog it up a climb! This 5.9 was quite a struggle in Rattlesnake Point. I led up well to the crux (the photo makes me appear much closer to the ground than I am), but then got stymied at the overhang (unseen to the left) and backed off. Lucky for me I slotted two wonderfully good #5 WC Rocks in a Pocket creatively. I wish I had taken a picture of those placements!
